Physician's Series Daily Mix is a potent multivitamins and minerals formula. It provides our body with essential nutrients needed on a daily basis to perform key functions to stay health; such as growth, repair, detox and removing free radicals.
Physician’s Series understands the exacting standards that a practitioner needs when dispensing a product as part of his/her clinical practice.
Firstly, the formula provides nutrients in the most absorbable and ready to use forms by our body. Then the potency of each nutrient can be assured and the body can use them efficiently.
Most Absorbable Forms
For example, minerals are difficult for our body to absorb.
So, Molybdenum, needed in the detoxification processes of the body; is formulated in an amino acid chelated form which our body can readily absorb.
For Selenium, it is presented in the form of Sodium Selenite, to be bioavailable to support heart and brain health, to promote a healthy inflammatory and immune response, and to help quench free radical activity.1,2
L-5-Methyl Tetrahydrofolate – the bioactive form of folic acid, is used instead so our body does not have to convert it before using it. This form of folate is up to seven times more bioavailable than folic acid.3,4
Similarly, Methycobalamin – the active form of Vitamin B12 is used and it is essential for cell growth and replication, neural functions, homocysteine metabolism.5-7
For Vitamin B6, it is present as the metabolically active form of Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate which has been shown to protect living lipids and proteins against glycation reactions.8-10
This formula also provides the ideal doses and forms of nutrients essential to achieve optimal health and well-being. Vitamins and minerals are co-dependent in their metabolic activities, so a deficiency of one can affect the optimal functioning of organ systems throughout the body.
Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA) provide only the minimal doses necessary to avoid deficiency. However, in order to achieve optimal health and well-being, we need the ideal dose of high-quality vitamins and minerals every day.
For example, the RDA of Vitamin D is 400IU but the formula provides 1000 IU per serving. Besides supporting bone health, Vitamin D also promotes healthy cell division, supports arterial, mental and immune health.11,12
Vitamin C scavenges free radicals and protects the cells against oxidative stress. It is involved in the production and function of white blood cells. Additionally, Vitamin C is vital to collagen formation, the connective tissue found throughout healthy arterial walls, skin, bones, and teeth.13-15 Daily Mix provides 500 mg Vitamin C per serving instead of the RDA of 60mg.
Respecting the Natural Complexity
Vitamin E is important as the master fat-soluble antioxidant but most brands will use only Alpha Tocopherol, a member of the Vitamin E family. Here it is presented in its natural complexity with the valuable forms of mixed alpha, beta, delta, and gamma tocopherols.16
More Than a Multivitamins & Minerals Formula
Besides vitamins and minerals, the formula also provides a few antioxidants essential to healthy living.
Alpha-lipoic acid is a powerful antioxidant that protects against free radical damage. It has been added to promote liver health, nerve health, and more. It is also able to work in both the water and oil-based areas in the body to help maintain Vitamin C and Glutathione levels.17-19
Apigenin – a powerful botanical bioflavonoid from Chamomile extract, is present to work with Vitamin C to help enhance the body’s natural cellular defence.
Marigold extract provides Lutein to promote eye health and to help inhibit oxidative stress.
The contents in this formula are protected in a coated vegetarian capsule against the heat and humidity of a tropical climate. Thus, product potency is assured.
Together with a fish oil formula, these multivitamins and minerals form the foundation of an effective nutritional supplement program.
